Abstract Artisanal Cotton Batik - Forest - Swatch
Reminiscent of light through forest trees, this broadcloth cotton comes to us direct from Ghana, where it's custom Batik-dyed in small batches by artisans. This process involves applying melted wax directly to the cloth in specific patterns, letting it solidify, then immersing it in eco-friendly dyes. Once the dye's set, the wax is removed, and voila!
Midweight with a crisp hand, this authentic batik would be perfect for summer shirts, comfortable caftans, or a gorgeous pair of wide-legged trousers. Easy to sew with, it is fully opaque and does not require a lining.
From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. For US & Canadian customers, shipping is free on orders over $150. After you've been notified, average shipping times for the US + Canada is 3-7 business days. International shipments may take anywhere from 12-40 days depending on your location.
