Double Sided Striped Quilted Cotton with Batting - Lilac, Pink + White
Merging a modern striped print and the traditional beauty of quilting, this pre-quilted textile is so masterfully woven you’ll find yourself asking, “How did they do that?!” Double sided, choose between a graphic and striped top in lilac, pink, black and white, and a bottom in primarily lilac stripes, both woven from a lightweight BCI certified cotton. A thin batting layer made from recycled polyester in the middle adds loft, warmth and classic quilted texture. The finishing touch is a contrasting topstitched quilting pattern that merges all three layers together. With moderate drape and a soft hand, use this incredibly special textile to make quilted and unlined jackets (like the Grainline Studio Tamarack jacket), lap blankets, the #ClosetCoreDogCoat or even a cozy mini skirt!
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
We suggest washing once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Machine wash in cool water on the delicate cycle using laundry detergent. Line dry your fabric and use an iron on medium setting. Do not use chlorine bleach and do not tumble dry to avoid damaging your precious garment.
