Floral Print Crinkle Crepe - Periwinkle
This delicate floral print in soft shades of periwinkle blue is so visually refreshing, you may feel compelled to stop and smell the flowers. Unfortunately, it's just a textured viscose crepe, so it won't smell like much (sorry!) That said, it is a feast for your other senses with its crinkly, subtly textured hand and light-as-air, fluid drape. Perfect for your summer swanning-around fantasies, it's an excellent choice for breezy dresses, caftans, blouses, cover-ups, and the like. Semi-transparent, it may require a lining depending on your application.
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Viscose, rayon, and tencel have a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage. Use a medium iron when pressing.
