Geometric Border Print Ecovero Viscose - Copper + Navy + White
Geometric and playful, this buttery-soft viscose weave has it all. An unexpected print with motifs ranging from little overlapping oblongs to an offbeat check to an array of energetic stripes that evoke (in our opinion) a metropolitan city block-- there's truly something for everyone here! Unlike conventional prints, these motifs run parallel to the salvage - it's truly a choose-your-own adventure situation when it comes time to cut out your pattern pieces. You can run the motifs vertically along the grainline, or rotate them so they run horizontally along the cross grain. We also encourage you to have fun with pattern piece placement - with this many patterns in one print, it's kind of like getting 3 for the price of 1! Plus, with a swishy, elegant drape and aforementioned soft-as-heck hand, it's absolutely perfect for transforming into a truly showstopping piece. We see it as a voluminous dress, a swishy skirt, a pair of wide-legged palazzo pants or the like, but feel free to whip this border print into something beyond your (and our) wildest dreams. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Viscose, rayon, and tencel have a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage. Use a medium iron when pressing.
