Large Scale Floral Print Satin Viscose - Black + Rose Gold
Chic and swishy, this FSC-certified and Oeko-Tex STeP satin viscose is an offbeat take on the typical floral theme. Its gold-and-brass blossoms are on the larger side, so if you're dainty-averse it's a lovely alternative. With a dramatic, elegant drape, a smooth hand, and that aforementioned satin shine, it's a wonderful candidate for a romantic robe, a flouncy skirt, a flowy, tiered dress, a gorgeous lining, or any garment that could benefit from a little dose of drama. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Viscose, rayon, and tencel have a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage. Use a medium iron when pressing.
