Fairly and Sustainably Produced in the USA

This low-carbon footprint and pesticide-free textile is produced entirely within the USA. Our family-owned supplier sources organic cotton that is grown and ginned by the Texas Organic Growers Coop. The ginned cotton is then spun, knit and dyed within a 150 mile radius of their Asheville, North Carolina headquarters. The dying process uses fibre reactive dyes in a closed-loop system where the water is perpetually recycled. We’re thrilled to offer a textile that meets the highest quality and sustainability standards, while also supporting the domestic textile industry.<br>

Care Instructions

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Fabric Tips

Use a medium iron with a pressing cloth. We recommend starting your project with a brand new ballpoint or stretch needle.

Organic Cotton Striped Baby Rib Knit - Storm Teal & Cream

I love love this fabric. The Stormy Teal & Cream is my second order as the first was the Gold/Cream color made up in the Core Crew Breton Top. I love both the fabric and the pattern so much that I had to make a second one. The fabric quality is right up there along with other Core fabrics, very soft but durable, washes and dries up beautifully, and is a great sew overall My second order included the Stay Tape which I used on the shoulder and neck seams which worked extremely well for stability, although I have to say that on the first sew garment, I did not have any stretch issues which is another indication of the fabric quality. Highly recommend this fabric.

Great fabric

Haven't use it yet, but it washed and dried up beautifully.

Luxurious jersey

Luxurious! I used this jersey to make a Monroe turtleneck and it was perfect. On the heavier side, but in a really substantial nice way. Extremely soft and drapey. I wish every jersey was made like the quality of this one

Perfect knit

This is the perfect fabric for T shirts. I've purchased every colour and made long and short sleeved t-shirts for my family. The weight and stretch work beautifully.

Organic Cotton Striped Jersey Knit

This is a beautifully soft jersey knit which I’ve sewn into the most comfortable T-shirts for me and for my family. I ordered each of the colours because I know they won’t last long.
