Baby's breath, violets, and other greenery adorn this simple, yet chic, viscose twill. If you're craving florals but eschew their usual pastel tones, this monochromatic take on the typical is right up your alley. This twill is also lovely for all manner of applications, given its full drape, silky smooth texture, and light weight. It's a warm-weather staple that's sure to please and is perfect for blouses, flowy dresses, voluminous skirts, caftans, and loose-fitting pants. Nearly fully opaque, it may require a lining for certain applications.
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Viscose, rayon, and tencel have a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage. Use a medium iron when pressing.
