Scale Textured Viscose Deadstock - Iridescent Slate
This viscose is unlike any we've ever seen and we just had to get our hands on it. Featuring a matte blue field woven with iridescent threads, the effect is bewitching - it reminds us of tiny fish scales! Subtle texture, a voluptuous drape, and a soft hand seal the deal: if you've been looking for a fabric to make a statement, look no further. We see it transformed into a garment that'll steal the show, whether that be a loose drapey blouse, a full skirt, or a pair of statement trousers. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Viscose, rayon, and tencel have a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage. Use a medium iron when pressing.
