Tartan Textured Viscose Deadstock - Storm Blue
Be chic in this tartan-textured viscose deadstock! Its soft hand has a slight satin sheen on one side, perfect for lending a subtle texture to an otherwise staple garment. Couple that with a moderately full drape and this viscose's gentle blue shade, and you're looking at a fabric with nearly endless possibilities. Some of these may include swishy dresses, dramatic pants, marvellous blouses. But we're sure you'll come up with something beyond our wildest dreams. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Viscose, rayon, and tencel have a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage. Use a medium iron when pressing.
