If you’ve never used thread gloss before, here’s how it works: Simply thread your needle and lay the thread close to the needle on the thread gloss. Using your thumb, put light pressure on the thread while you pull the thread along the top of the thread gloss. One or two light pulls should be plenty. Knot your thread and start hand-stitching!
Canada-based Sew Fine has been developing scented, natural thread conditioners since 2018 using beeswax, which is known to provide strength and help natural thread glide through the fabric. To create their yummy scents, Sew Fine uses phthalate-free fragrance oils, which are bath and body safe, colourless, and water-soluble – meaning any residual fragrance can be washed out.
