Another great pattern!

I haven’t made the jacket yet, but the pattern instructions look great. I also purchased the lining expansion which also looks consistent in quality with other Closer Core Patterns. I’m looking forward to making the jacket soon.

Anorak DONE!! Trust them when they rate it 'advanced'.

Just a few changes from OEM....welt pockets, detachable hood w/drawstring, cuffs on the lined version, waist drawstring on inside, curved hem on back.

Don't love how the cuffs are done - will use method from cuffed shirts in future. Burrito method for lined version doesn't make sense (as noted in their walkthru site) - it's easier to get front yokes to line up if you don't burrito. Be forewarned: There are many places where one should baste to ensure things fit together and/or line up before sewing/top-stitching.

LOVE this Pattern

I am so happy with how my Kelly Anorak turned out. I made a size 8 and made it a little more cropped by removing two inches from the 'lengthen/shorten here' line at the waist. I didn't have to make any other changes/alterations. I used the lining expansion and I did accidentally cut out the original sleeves for my mockup (the lining has a different sleeve with no cuff). I made a quilted version from linen with a cotton batting. The jacket is super comfortable to wear- it has a great range of movement at the shoulder and upper arm, the collar is cozy and the pockets are deep and roomy for phones, keys whatever. The instructions are clear and any construction questions that popped up were pretty much answered by referencing the sew alongs on this website. Anybody could make this jacket.
