Great pattern and instructions

Beautiful skirt pattern

I haven't made this skirt yet, but I read through the pattern instructions. Once again, they are very clear and well-illustrated in true "Core" style. I'm still toying with the idea of lining the skirt, as my fabric is very light, but I want it to be cooler for summer and don't want polyester lining in a cotton skirt.

What a design!

What a great skirt design. Last July I made view B wrap skirt in olive green textured cotton from Core Fabrics and am in love. The wrap gives full coverage together with the rare combination of swish and sleekness due to the waistband & pocket design. It has a huge pocket that doesn't stick out off my hip. I've worn it to a nice restaurant as well as camping over a swimsuit (iPad mini in the pocket!). Sewing it again with a matching Cielo top to wear together for a dress look and as separates. Be aware that due to grainlines, it does require generous yardage, but I think it's worth it and am curious to see how the Cielo top can be puzzle pieced in. If yardage is tight you could also cut the side front facing from coordinating fabric, which would look pretty cool. All three of the Rome collection patterns have been winners for me, which rarely happens.

My favorite skirt pattern!

I made view B in a non-stretch linen. This pattern is so beautiful and incredibly easy to follow. I get lots of wear out of this skirt. As a short woman (I'm 4'10") the below-the-knee option is the PERFECT length for a midi skirt on me. I made this in a size 12 but will make my next version in a size 10 for a tighter fit on the waist.
