Pietra Wide Legs Yay!

I made the wide leg Pietra Pants in a linen blend and wow! They look great on me, and are completely on-point with current fashion. Even though these are MUCH easier than other Closet Core patterns I have made, they still have lots of details that elevate them above similar designs by other designers. The instructions are clear. I recommend doing a muslin in the shorts view as you will not know how they are going to fit until you have the waistband completely on. The only change I made was to lengthen the elastic, but it was good to practice all the techniques before I cut into my expensive fabric. Closet Core, keep up the great work!

Pattern runs big

My body measurements falls on size 10, the pants were way too big. I end up sewing size 6 and still have room in it.
I do love the shape of the pants and the style. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

Hi Lital,
Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience with the sizing!
We're so glad to hear you love the shape and style of the pants, and that you found the instructions clear and easy to follow.
Regarding the sizing, could you tell us which measurements you used from our size chart? We'd love to understand better - did you use the finished garment measurements or your body measurements when selecting your size? Our size chart includes ease for comfort and fit, so the finished garment measurements will always be larger than your actual body measurements.
This information would be really helpful for us and for other customers reading reviews.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback!

My first pattern

This was my first time using a pattern to make an item of clothing. It went great! Now for figuring out how to install a zipper!

Love Pietra shorts

Sewed 3 pairs of the shorts in linen using size 2 front pieces and size 4 back. Love the flat front and deep pockets. The facings are cleverly designed
