Fiore Skirt Pattern

I've sewed View B multiple times and loved wearing them and sewing them. Tip: I found that cutting the slant edge facing on the straight grain served me far better than any amount of stay stitching or interfacing to the end of avoiding the stretched edge visible in many projects. I will also say that this is *not* a wrap skirt that can be modified for weight gain by moving buttons! The slant overlap was perfectly tidy (even when sitting) in the drafted size; but subtract a few inches of overlap and you will be open for all to see :)

Just finished my first Fiore skirt, and it turned out just as pictured. Directions were clear and it fits great!

I have a teaching studio called The Sewing Hive that offers sewing classes and there's a course we have that teaches students to begin making garments. It includes the Fiore Skirt and another independent pattern company's button up shirt. After testing other patterns, the Fiore skirt was a perfect one and we have them bring the pattern to class for the skirt project. The invisible zipper, simple hem and standard waistband techniques it offers are a great building block to grow skirt sewing skills. Thank you for making the instructions easy to follow as well.

Great pattern and instructions

I haven't made this skirt yet, but I read through the pattern instructions. Once again, they are very clear and well-illustrated in true "Core" style. I'm still toying with the idea of lining the skirt, as my fabric is very light, but I want it to be cooler for summer and don't want polyester lining in a cotton skirt.
