Nadya Toto deadstock acrylic double knit in chestnut with a wave-textured surface. Soft hand, generous four-way stretch, and fully opaque finish for knit dresses, tops, and cardigans.

A double knit so clever it does two textures at once, and somehow neither feels heavy.

  • Why You'll Love It Smooth and soft on the wrong side, puckered with a wave texture on the right, it's a striking double-layer construction with generous four-way stretch and an easy medium drape. Technically heavyweight, but it wears light, never bulky.
  • How It's Made Deadstock 100% acrylic fabric locally sourced from iconic indie designer Nadya Toto, made in Italy.
  • What To Make Knit dresses, fitted tops, and cardigans. Fully opaque, no lining required.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Can be machine washed with warm or cool water, then dried on low. Remove from dryer as soon as fabric is dry. Use a warm iron with press cloth. Acrylic tends to stretch and melt when over-heated; use discretion in choosing temperatures.
