This pattern was an absolute joy to work with. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, and the finished piece is something I’m so proud of. I made the shirt in a viscose twill and it's lovely. I'll make another but take an inch off the length (I'm 5'8"). I sized down by 1 so it wasn't too big after comparing the pattern to a couple of ready to wear shirts I have. The sew was fairly straightforward apart from the cuffs which I had to do twice for some reason. It was my first traditional shirt make and the instructions were generally clear. I have a kit from Guthrie & Ghani which comes with an extra tips video which was useful.
I am most impressed with this shirt pattern. The techniques for the collar and hem are brilliant and I will definitely be using them from now on.
The details, such as the hanging loop, look great and the cuff is wide enough to accommodate two buttons, again, lifting the shirt from ‘ordinary’
