Rika Pants Pattern

This pattern is fun to copy (from original paper pattern), alter, cut, sew and wear. I love it. This pattern is addicting for me. I have made very few (drastic) alterations, following Closet Core tutorials helped me correctly alter the pattern pieces. Plus the pattern is very well marked so I can easily copy and alter. I'm 5'-2", 170lbs. With alterations the first pair was size 14 with 271gsm fabric, is a snug fit especially in the belly. Now if I just bike ride everyday, and lose just few pounds..... like that's going to happen during the winter or any other time. LOL
Second pair altered and shortened length throughout pattern using between size 16 to size 18 at waist with 240gsm fabric; for a perfect fit with ease and good looking. Thank you Closet Core. Love my Morgan Jeans too.

Pattern is very well drafted and instructions are clear. Easiest fly zipper I’ve ever sewn! Overall a great pattern!

I am extremely hard to fit and usually am limited with options for pants patterns. The Rika pants patterns was easy to fit and depending on which options and fabric you use, you can make pants from dressy to casual. The pattern instructions were wasy to follow and the pattern sewed up easily.

I've been on the lookout for a straight leg pants pattern, and these are it, with the added bonus of carpenter pockets and hammer loop! I love the fit. The instructions are good.

This pattern looks great, I am in the process of selecting fabric at present and hope to make both versions and think it will be a very versatile pattern
