Proudly designed and made in Canada, Melow emphasizes using local materials, favouring natural fibres over synthetics. Many of their fabrics are organic and/or locally produced. All garment production takes place in Quebec, minimizing their ecological footprint while supporting the local economy.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and lay flat to dry or line dry. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use a medium iron with a pressing cloth. We recommend starting your project with a brand new ballpoint or stretch needle.
