The perfect stretch jersey knit does exist, and itâs made right here in Canada! đšđŠ This bamboo-organic cotton blend with a bit of spandex has it all: incredible stretch and recovery, long-lasting durability, and an ultra-soft hand that feels amazing to wear. The right side is smooth and soft, while the wrong side has a subtle brushed coziness thatâs pure comfort against the skin. And the best part? Itâs a dream to sew! Unlike certain knits, itâs stable and beginner-friendly, a great option for anyone learning to work with stretch fabrics. Midweight with a lovely medium drape, this fully opaque essential is ideal for all your go-to knit projects, from t-shirts and dresses to leggings and more.
Our supplier is a Quebec-based company that creates and designs organic and eco-friendly fabrics. They select the highest quality certified organic cotton from India, grown in a controlled environment where no chemical pesticides or chemicals are used. Knitted in our hometown of Montreal, the textiles are then sent to Ontario for finishing using a non-toxic dyeing process in a closed-loop system that reuses water and textile waste.

Wash
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Long-Term Care
Bamboo should be hand washed with cool water, or machine washed on the delicate cycle using gentle laundry detergent. Tumble dry on low heat. Do not use chlorine bleach as it will yellow the fibers.
Fabric Tips
When pressing bamboo use a cool iron. Bamboo tends to be a bit shifty so use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric.

Love this fabric! Great quality! I made a few t-shirts out of it and they are really comfortable. After several washes, the fabric continues to get softer and softer. Would definitely buy again to make everyday basics.
