Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

Orders outside of Canada are subject to customs and duties and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Any applicable Duties and Tariffs are collected at checkout and packages are shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid)

This fabric is so beautiful, not sure why tarriffs still apply

I purchased a sample of this some time ago and finally found the perfect project for it- a commission to re-create a top for my elderly neighbor. She absolutely loved it. My only disappointment is that the tarriffs were deemed illegal by our Supreme Court, but Core still charges them. Even then, I’ll likely purchase this fabric again.

Favorite Fabric!

I've used Core Fabrics Textured Viscose Linen several times, and this won't be the last! Wonderful weighty drape. Great for pieces that benefit with movement (like flutter sleeves) It's a comfortable and pleasurable fabric to wear. Great for pants, skirts, dresses and tops.

Every item I’ve purchased from Core Fabrics has far exceeded hopes and expectations. The fabrics are excellent in every way, and the notions I’ve purchased are all of highest quality. The textured viscose linen in particular has been lovely to work with. I’ve purchased the crimson and the cream for the Cielo top and dress, and I love the outcomes.
