Almost fully opaque viscose charmeuse with a beautiful sheen. Smooth and fluid for blouses, slip dresses, bias skirts, and special occasions.

  • Why You’ll Love It: Flowy, smooth and luxurious to the touch, with a glowing lustre that catches the light with every movement. It has all the glamour of silk charmeuse, and was custom made exclusively for us, making it one of the most special fabrics we’ve ever carried.
  • How It’s Made: Woven in India from 50% Ecovero viscose and 50% viscose. Ecovero viscose is derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp.
  • What To Make: Elegant blouses, slip dresses, bias-cut skirts, special occasion garments, and luxurious linings. Almost fully opaque, light lining may be needed depending on the project.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. Shipping is free on Canadian and US orders over $150.

Orders outside of Canada are subject to customs and duties and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Any applicable Duties and Tariffs are collected at checkout and packages are shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid)
