We’re proud to carry this locally produced, exceptionally high quality cotton fleece. Not only is it the coziest fleece we’ve ever fondled, but it’s made right here in Montreal, Canada out of certified organic cotton! Not bad, eh? This gorgeous non-stretch fabric features a smooth knit weave on one side and an ultra-soft fleece hand on the other, resulting in ultimate comfort and warmth. Heavyweight with a moderate drape, with a tiny amount of mechanical stretch on the crossgrain, it's perfect for joggers and sweatshirts, in addition to loungewear like cardigans. Fully opaque, no lining is needed for this fabric.

Our supplier is a Quebec-based company that creates and designs organic and eco-friendly fabrics. They select the highest quality certified organic cotton from India, grown in a controlled environment where no chemical pesticides or chemicals are used. Knitted in our hometown of Montreal, the textiles are then sent to Ontario for finishing using a non-toxic dyeing process in a closed-loop system that reuses water and textile waste.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Long-Term Care

Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cool water and hand to dry or set dryer to the lowest setting to keep the fibres soft and fuzzy.

Fabric Tips

Avoid using iron on the fuzzy fleece side.

From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. Shipping is free on Canadian and US orders over $150.

We ship globally! Non Canadian and US orders and orders under 150$ are calculated by weight.

Orders outside of Canada are subject to customs and duties and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Orders to the US under 800$ are duty-free.

Navy, Orange and Evergreen Organic Cotton Knit

I love this fabric!! It was easy to work. I made the Men's Hudson Pant pattern from True Bias. My grandsons picked the color of pant they wanted and they received them as a Christmas gift.

Quality fabric

The quality of this sweatshirt fleece fabric is superior and I know I will love wearing it. I was a bit disappointed in the color, it is a very dark, saturated rust color and my monitor showed it to be a bit more "rosy." But I know that the seller cannot be responsible for color variations on monitors. I love the concept of Core Fabrics and will continue to order when I see fabric I love. Shipping was very quick to the US.

This is 100% cotton! It is so difficult to find that. The colour which is a dark green is beautiful.
