Véronik is our take on a luxurious robe, an indispensable and elevated design for cozy time at home, or as an unexpected layering piece for out on the street.

The Véronik Robe comes in two lengths, hitting at mid-calf, or just above the knee. Choose between a traditional collar band, or a notched collar for architectural interest. The sleeves come in two lengths: elbow length with a facing (perfect for adding a pop of fabric contrast) or wrist length with a folded hem. All views include roomy slanted pockets and can be tied with a traditional full sash, or looped through the side seam openings to create unexpected volume in the back.

Sizes:  0-20 and 14-32

Recommended fabric

  • This pattern can be made with a variety of fabrics depending on the desired effect. For a more structured shape, use light to heavy weight wovens such as linen, flannel or cotton poplin. For a drapier effect, use viscose, rayon challis, tencel, cotton voile or silk.

Elegant and classic

I made the View A, long robe out of a fun, lightweight, block print cotton, inspired by another reviewer. It came together easily. I like the length and the wide sleeves. I'm thinking about making a shorter one.

Love the finished product!

I sewed up a version of the notched collar, and that turned out to be a little above my skill level - I wish there were a sew-along for this portion! I thought the directions were a little hard to follow. Still, I made it work and it's such a beautiful robe!

Fabulous Robe

I wanted to make my two daughters something special that would last them for years, and this robe was a fantastic option. I even made one for myself! It is such a clever and easy pattern to sew. I made the longer version for all, but with the shorter sleeve option and french seamed all the seams. I made one in a light cotton seersucker and two in linen fabric and I'm so happy with how they turned out. I highly recommend this pattern!

Favourite make ever!

What a brilliant pattern. I’ve now made 3 of these in different fabrics and several for friends too. Everyone asks me where the jacket is from. Some of my students bought the pattern whilst we were making another pattern during a class. It’s THAT brilliant. Versatile, straightforward, I’m barely out of this jacket. Highly recommend
