Looking to make your me-made winter coat even warmer? We heartily recommend lining it with our cotton-backed satin deadstock! Also known as kasha, this lining features a smooth satin finish on one side, and a cozy brushed back on the other. This double-sided lining ups the cozy and helps block chilly winter winds. Use it for all outerwear that could use an extra dose of warmth.

Deadstock

Reducing Waste from the Textile + Fashion Industry

In the fashion industry, deadstock refers to fabrics that are either surplus or left over from production, including high-quality designer textiles. By sourcing deadstock fabrics, we are giving them a new lease on life and keeping them out of landfills.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Can be machine washed with warm or cool water, then dried on low. Remove from dryer as soon as fabric is dry. Use a warm iron with press cloth. Acrylic tends to stretch and melt when over-heated; use discretion in choosing temperatures.
