This is a pattern expansion; please note you also need to purchase the Kelly Anorak for the instructions and additional pattern pieces.

With this PDF pattern expansion for our best-selling Kelly Anorak, you can now add a beautiful lining to your jacket for a completely clean and professional finish on the inside. Add warmth with flannel or shearling, or add a pop of colour with silk or rayon Bemberg.

This pattern expansion includes all lining pieces, along with a new sleeve. Slightly wider and without a cuff, this sleeve is easier to sew and a little roomier for cold-weather layering.

Directions could be clearer

The coat is moving along well. Be careful about the instructions for what fabric vs what lining to cut, compared to what's in the main version of the coat. It took me awhile to figure out and I still cut somethings that didn't need to be cut

A fun, challenging make

I just completed the Kelly Anorak with lining yesterday. It was such a fun, challenging project. I was happy to work on a sewing project that lasted longer than a few days. The lining makes the jacket more usable for cool fall days. I used a plaid flannel for the body and good and viscose lining fabric for the sleeves. I think using the lining makes the finishing of the project neater than without. This was a gift for my daughter and she loves it. I encourage anyone thinking of making this jacket to do it. I had the pattern and fabric for two years until I finally dared to try it. There are lots of good supports for sewing this project online including the CC sew along, Lauren Gauthrie’s tips and Sewcial Thread. Now that I’ve made this first one, I’d love to make another one.
