Cokluch archive knit—57.5% cotton, 37.5% Modal, 5% spandex. Soft, stretchy, fully opaque; ideal for tops, bodysuits, dresses, and leggings.

This soft stretch jersey from the archives of Montreal indie designer Cokluch is crafted from 57.5% Cotton, 37.5% TENCEL™ Modal, 5% Spandex. Medium-weight with excellent recovery and resilience, it’s perfect for projects that require comfort and flexibility, like t-shirts, fitted tops, bodysuits, dresses, and leggings. We particularly love it for loungewear, delicate bralettes, and underwear, as it breathes wonderfully and feels luxurious against the skin. Fully opaque, though it may become slightly sheer when stretched, this knit is versatile, comfortable, and perfect for any sewing project.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Long-Term Care

Cotton/synthetic blends may shrink excessively when exposed to high heat. Machine wash in cool water and tumble dry on low.

Fabric Tips

Use a medium iron with a pressing cloth. We recommend starting your project with a brand new ballpoint or stretch needle.
