Deadstock
Designer Textiles Made From Natural Fibres
In the fashion industry, deadstock refers to fabrics that are either surplus or left over from production, including high-quality designer textiles. By sourcing deadstock fabrics, we are giving them a new lease on life and keeping them out of landfills.
Designer Habotai Silk Deadstock - Sand - Swatch
Luxurious in all the ways a fine silk should be, this lightweight habotai is actually limited deadstock from the iconic Toronto designer Lida Baday. Habotai is a textile known for its airiness and shimmering weave: this deadstock is no exception. Its soft, light hand, lustrous sheen, and gentle drape make it a lovely choice for any unstructured project. We suggest for delicate blouses and dresses, or as an eye-catching lining for a truly special garment. Semi-sheer in lighter colours, it may require a lining (or not, for the daring!)
