Truly the loveliest ponte de roma we've ever laid our hands on, this gorgeous double knit is a beautiful combination of comfort and luxury. It features a soft, smooth hand (as close to silky as a knit can get!) and an almost beefy mid-weight with exceptional stretch and recovery. Woven with a mix of Ecovero viscose and nylon for strength, it is a fabric stash must, ideal for a wide range of applications. Think: stretch pants, bodycon dresses, knit blazers, jumpsuits, and structured cardigans. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. Shipping is free on U.S. and Canadian orders over $150. U.S. and Canadian orders ship in 3-7 business days, and international orders take between 12-40 days. All additional customs and duties that may be collected at the border are the sole responsibility of the customer.

If I could make a fabric my best friend, I would do that to the Viscose Ponte Knit

From the moment I opened the box, through my pre-washing to the glorious moment I first tried on my Closet Core Crew Onyx pants, I knew that this was an excellent purchase. I have never been disappointed by a single Core Fabrics purchase, and this was no exception. Basically I'm going to try and snap some up when ever I can, and hope that there will be an additional ponte friendly pattern in the 2024 crew capsule wardrobe. It's the perfect amount of soft, stretchy coziness that the pants need, and I will now make the fabric a mix tape of tunes it reminds me of. Seriously, this ponte will fill all your ponte dreams.
