Véronik is our take on a luxurious robe, an indispensable and elevated design for cozy time at home, or as an unexpected layering piece for out on the street.

The Véronik Robe comes in two lengths, hitting at mid-calf, or just above the knee. Choose between a traditional collar band, or a notched collar for architectural interest. The sleeves come in two lengths: elbow length with a facing (perfect for adding a pop of fabric contrast) or wrist length with a folded hem. All views include roomy slanted pockets and can be tied with a traditional full sash, or looped through the side seam openings to create unexpected volume in the back.

Sizes:  0-20 and 14-32

Recommended fabric

  • This pattern can be made with a variety of fabrics depending on the desired effect. For a more structured shape, use light to heavy weight wovens such as linen, flannel or cotton poplin. For a drapier effect, use viscose, rayon challis, tencel, cotton voile or silk.

Lovely pattern! Great instructions, easy to sew

I decided to make myself a postpartum gift of a really nice robe and immediately this pattern came to mind. I love the notched collar detail and based on my experience sewing other Closet Core patterns, knew that it would be well designed and well thought out. The pattern did not disappoint! Especially with pregnancy brain (going to have to come up with a new excuse eventually ;) haha) I did not need to think overly hard about how to construct anything. I also loved the directions for the notched collar. I have tried sewing notched collars before that turned out quite lumpy and this one came together fairly smoothly. Next time I need to make a robe I will 100% use this pattern again.

I love the size of the notched collar, the size of the pockets, the hang loop, and the ease of instructions. I flat felled all my internal seams to make things nice and smooth on the inside and this worked even at the armscye (without a lot of tears and swearing!) due to the shape of the armscye which was another win. I highly recommend.

Veronik Robe Pattern

I made this robe for a friend and it was a very enjoyable make. In my experience all Closer Core patterns have immaculately detailed instructions and this pattern was no different. I used a combination or flat felled and french seams with no trouble.

About to cut out with some of your fabric. Increased tariffs to our allies super sucks

I love it so much

The robe went together pretty fast, and I absolutely love that it's actually designed for the human body, so it drapes nicely, it covers everything you want covered, and doesn't gap. I made it in a super soft eco-viscose, so I can wear it in summer too.
