New to me snaps

I’ve never used these types of snaps before but I sure do like them. They are a great midway option between the other snaps I normally have on hand. I do recommend getting the tool set from Core right away if you don’t have it already as it was really hard to find the tools for these readily in regular stores.

A Convert to Snaps

I thoroughly enjoyed learning the new skill of inserting these snaps. I put them on a denim Downtown jacket. I overlooked purchasing the awl, so had to McGiver separating the fibres with a nail and a knitting needle. That worked, but I recommend getting the awl! I plan to use these snaps on future projects as they look so professional and the brass is lovely. It also means not having to do buttonholes and buttons. The snaps can be hard to snap together to close the garment at first, but then work well after some use. I did have to look at several different YouTubes to get the full story on how to insert these--I ask that producers of YouTube How-To videos please show some close-ups of what piece is what. But once you've done it, it all makes sense and for some people may even be intuitive.

Gorgeous finish, easy to install

These are an easy way to up the polish on your snap based projects. I used these for my Crew Sandstone Jacket and they added a nice polished look. I love it when I make a project that makes everyone ask "Where did you buy that?" having the snaps look so snazzy makes the difference.
