Right off the roll, this sumptuous, luxurious interlock knit is soft as a cloud. Interlock is a variation of the rib knit construction which allows the fabric to have a built-in stretch and to drape nicely on the body. Interlock knits are also easy to work with due to the front and back being identical. In a lovely midweight, it's ideal for any kind of knitwear where you want a bit of body. Plus, its generous mechanical stretch makes it work for both loose-fitting and close-cut garments. It's also cozy, comforting, and made from 100% organic cotton, making it breathable and easy on your skin. Transform this lovely interlock knit into T-shirts, light hoodies and sweats, or even a relaxed maxi dress. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.
Our supplier is a Quebec-based company that creates and designs organic and eco-friendly fabrics. They select the highest quality certified organic cotton from India, grown in a controlled environment where no chemical pesticides or chemicals are used. Knitted in our hometown of Montreal, the textiles are then sent to Ontario for finishing using a non-toxic dyeing process in a closed-loop system that reuses water and textile waste.

Wash
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.
Long-Term Care
Cotton/synthetic blends may shrink excessively when exposed to high heat. Machine wash in cool water and tumble dry on low.

Use a medium iron with a pressing cloth. We recommend starting your project with a brand new ballpoint or stretch needle.

My issue with the order was definitely related to UPS. They sent me emails stating that I could pay the $80 in customs fees at the time of pick-up. This seemed reasonable, but I did wind up paying it online just to take care of it. I was then surprised when the package reached my usual UPS office and was immediately returned to sender. As it turns out, UPS sets a deadline for customs payments of which I was unaware. Also note that UPS was sending me emails the entire time stating that the package was ready for pick-up! Core Fabrics received my return order and refunded me the entire amount, which was really nice of them. They're really great, but be cautious of working with UPS as their process was poorly communicated and wasteful of my money.
Hi Jessica,
Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm glad to hear you were happy with our service, even though you had to go through that. It sounds incredibly frustrating, especially with the mixed messages from UPS and the unexpected return and fees.
As of now, we are no longer using UPS for our shipping, as they have compromised our confidence in their services.
We hope to supply you again soon!

This is the best fabric. I cannot believe there is someplace that has "real" fabric that is high quality. Makes a big difference.
This fabric is so thick and soft! I made a t-shirt for everyday wear but now I seem to be wearing it all day and as my sleep shirt cause it is such lovely fabric!
I used this knit fabric to make a Page hoodie, and it turned out better than I had imagined due to the quality of the fabric. The fabric is incredibly soft, easy to sew with, and a dream to wear.
