Care Instructions

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Long-Term Care

Machine wash in warm water and tumble dry on medium or hot.

Fabric Tips

You can use a hot iron when pressing cotton. You can use sharp point universal needles to sew your projects. We recommend starting your project with a brand new needle.

Dream Come True

This fabric is perfect in every way.
It has a rustic texture I love.
I used it to make a light pair of pants for Spring, Cooler summer days, and fall.
I just bought more because I know once the world figures out how great this fabric is, it won't last long!

Beautiful Color and Fabric

I love this fabric. It's soft and the plum color is so pretty. I used it to make a dress and that dress has quickly become one of my favorites. I wear it all the time around the house because the fabric is just so nice and soft. I'll be getting this in other colors!

Just what I was looking fo

I have not made my pants yet. But the texture, weight and feel of the tumbled non stretch cotton is just what I was looking for to replicate a pair of capris I purchased a few years ago.

I was pleasantly surprised by this fabric. So soft and drapes beautifully. Will be making some cargo pants out of it.

Loved the Kit - Fabric Meh

I really am grateful to start a project with ALL the necessary tools. I purchased this kit along with the pants class to make Mitchell. The fabric was a dream to work with.

I’m not really a fan of “tumbled” look of the cotton and felt that for these pants I would have preferred a pant with a little more body/weight to the drape.

I don’t know if this is the fabric that was used on the original pants featured when announced, but felt like it could have used a lining or something.

Having said that, the class was good and the pants came out great. They won’t be one I’ll want to pull out all the time though because of the fabric choice.
