Care Instructions

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing and prepare for sewing! We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Separate brights as some dyes and prints may run the first few washes. Cupro has a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use a medium iron when pressing cupro. Take your time when cutting out your fabric as cupro can be a bit shifty. Use a rotary cutter and cut on the flat when possible.

Shipping & Returns

From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. Shipping is free on U.S. and Canadian orders over $150. U.S. and Canadian orders ship in 3-7 business days, and international orders take between 12-40 days. That said, all additional customs and duties that may be collected at the border are the sole responsibility of the customer.

We are committed to investing in sustainability initiatives to counteract the environmental impact of shipping. We offset our carbon footprint by contributing funds to forest conservation projects for every package shipped.

We leave a 36 hour buffer before shipping to allow for cancelled orders. Once your order is cut, it is final. For more questions on shipping and returns, consult our Shipping & Returns FAQ.

Wow! I love the Bemberg Cupro Lining

The Bemberg cupro lining fabric I purchased was so luxurious it felt like silk. The fabric was soft, reasonable opacity, had great drapability, and was oh, so smooth to the touch. I used it to complete a friend's wedding dress. I definitely intend to order more Bemberg Cupro from Core Fabrics in the future, but next time it will be for garments I intend to make for myself. :-) I love it, love it, love it!!

Love Core Fabrics

The cupro lining arrived quickly (I am on the US West coast, so I was surprised), and was exactly as advertised. A nice nude neutral that was perfect for my skirt. I trust Core fabrics for their high quality at a good price, and they never let me down.

Lovely lining

Very soft and silky, exactly what I was looking for to line my dress. I'm glad I went for this over a cheap poly!

Truly phenomenal customer service!!! The folks at Core Fabric went above and beyond any normal expectations to assure my order was received in an expedited manner (pulled the order and hand delivered it to a truck during an ice storm, kept me apprised of the order status, and refunded the difference in shipping costs when a lower cost carrier was chosen to meet my needed delivery window). Their price for a difficult to find fabric was also far less and the fabric higher quality (including wider yardage) than anything available here in the U.S. I cannot say enough good things about this company - I highly recommend them for any and all fabric needs. They are the best!

I found Core Fabrics searching for Cupro. Glad I did. Good fabric from a good business. Thank you.
