Midweight with a gorgeous drape, this lyocell twill weave is oh-so-luxe. You'll love it for its eco-friendliness, too: made with a low-water and energy process, this lyocell is highly durable, sourced from eucalyptus trees, and biodegradable once it reaches the end of its wearable life. With its generous drape and soft hand, it's slightly heavier than typical Tencel twill, making it a great choice for drapey projects that need a bit of heft. We see it as trousers, swishy skirts, dresses of all types, and blouses. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.
Lyocell is a next-generation cellulose fibre. This means that the process to manufacture it is much more environmentally-friendly than viscose, rayon or cupro. Not only is it sourced from renewable sources (trees) that do not require pesticides, fertilizers or irrigation, but it is processed via a low energy, low water, closed-loop system that recycles over 99.5% of the chemicals/solvents used in production. Also, the fabric is highly durable (it is used in conveyor belts) and long lasting.

Wash
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Long-Term Care
Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.
Fabric Tips
Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

This is my first time describing fabric as buttery! Seriously it is lovely! Has an amazing drape as well! I would suggest sewing with flat felled seams like I did, or French seams to enclose the edges as they tend to fray.
This fabric is lovely, drapy, and works into the my wardrobe colors for a pair of wide leg pants that will coordinate with a wool hounds tooth blazer for fall. Highly recommend.
