Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing and prepare for sewing! We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Separate brights as some dyes and prints may run the first few washes. Cupro has a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use a medium iron when pressing cupro. Take your time when cutting out your fabric as cupro can be a bit shifty. Use a rotary cutter and cut on the flat when possible.

Love this lining

I love this bemberg lining. I’ve used it to line a Wool Jasika blazer and a linen+rayon Magnolia dress. It’s slick but not slippery so it sews and serges well. It also has a great body to use as an underlining, only altering the drape a bit on lighter fabrics to make a slightly sturdier (and opaque) bodice.

Great Fabric!

My order shipped quickly and was neatly packed. The lining is so smooth and feels great against my skin as the lining for a coat.

High quality fabric

My biggest concern was about the quality of the fabric.it’s a first time purchased online . The order came at time, Beautiful, soft to touch silk lining. Completely match with the description, and exactly what I want it. Thanks Core fabric for your excellent service and wishing you to make more happy customers like me . ❤️

So THIS is why they say bemberg is the best for lining

I mean, it was very slippery to work with (like any lining), but it looks and feels so good in the finished product. I can definitely tell the difference between this and poly lining.
