Reminding us of certain bold Italian designers (Versace or Cavalli anyone?) this daring print is like taking a trip to Rio or Miami. A zebra-esque print bordered on either side with a geometric band running parallel to the selvedge, the design is striking, but the muted earthy field helps to ground it and make it surprisingly wearable. A midweight viscose with a touch of stretch and a matte finish, this fabric has a heavy fluid drape and is an absolute delight to sew with - not at all shifty! The touch of stretch makes its especially bouncy and resilient for a viscose. Note that the stretch runs perpendicular to the border pattern (ie. selvedge to selvedge) so if you rotate your pattern pieces to take advantage of the border print, you will have a touch of stretch running through the vertical grainline. We love this special fabric for stunning and drapey dresses, caftans, robes, blouses and unstructured trousers. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.
