Have used CC patterns on several occasions previously and always been impressed with the stylish designs and detail of the instructions. Had read a few reviews of the cielo on Instagram and felt it would be a flattering choice for me. I think this might be my first time downloading CC patterns as a pdf however and my only irk was the amount of print outs I had to do when I already knew I only wanted to make the top (I printed out the C cup bust adjustment file as well as the generic sized one)…. I think I also recall struggling to find the right file in my printer app - because there were so many files in the bundle and hard to see the names on my phone screen (easily fixed by creating sub folders but wanted to feedback still in case useful to hear of this experience). That being said, the reason there were so many files is due to the amount of choice CC give their customers and the dedication to inclusivity in sizing, which is to be commended.
Once printed out, my experience with execution was as per my usual expectations with this company - clear and thorough and suited to beginners and advanced sewers alike. CC patterns tend to come out a bit big for me (I’m fairly petite) so I tend to size down and would do so even more when making this pattern again - reducing length of sleeve as would prefer it hit a bit higher up my arm. However overall experience was very good and fully intend to make more from this company in future xx
Have made 2 tops and 1 dress. Plan on a second dress with plain colored top and patterned bottom or maybe…..
I quickly sewed two dresses and two tops and was surprised at how well they came together. I now have some elegant and original basics that are perfect for hot weather.
The top turned out as I expected, easy to follow instructions, and a perfect fit.
