Add the perfect final touch to your precious make with these iconic mother-of-pearl shell buttons! Featuring an inimitable pearly finish, these are cut from the linings of oyster shells. One reason why it's called mother-of-pearl is that the nacre-lined shells are "the belly" in which pearls are produced. How beautiful! And naturally strong and resilient too. The versatile cream colour of these shell buttons works with any coloured fabric. Available in different sizes, they have been gently polished to enhance their natural beauty, and present two holes drilled and a gorgeous organic finish.

They work with freedivers and pearl farmers from ocean-dependent communities in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and French Polynesia who respect the origin, growth and delicate nature of shells. They support sustainable harvesting practices in line with local heritage, biosecurity and Government Fishery laws.

Shipping & Returns

From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. Shipping is free on Canadian and US orders over $150. 

We ship globally! Non Canadian and US orders and orders under 150$ are calculated by weight.

Orders outside of Canada are subject to customs and duties and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Orders to the US under 800$ are duty-free.

We are committed to investing in sustainability initiatives to counteract the environmental impact of shipping. We offset our carbon footprint by contributing funds for every package shipped to supporting projects that remove excess carbon dioxide from the environment.
