Made with a dedication to sustainability that checks all our boxes - including incorporating wind and solar power, using only fibres that biodegrade, with cotton grown only 600km away from the mill - this denim is also certified organic along the entire manufacturing process, from picking to dyeing. Its lightly textured hand and crisp, structured drape are perfect for transforming into workwear and other heavyweight projects - selvedge jeans, boiler suits, jackets, and the like. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry denim to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Fabric Tips

For most applications, light to midweight denim can be cut on the fold. We recommend cutting heavyweight denims on a single layer. Use a fresh 90/14 needle for light to midweight denim and a 100/16 needle for heavyweight denim.

Orders outside of Canada are subject to customs and duties and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Any applicable Duties and Tariffs are collected at checkout and packages are shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid)

nice quality but not white

I thought I was buying white but it is not white, it is off-white or maybe even a cream color. The fabric is heavy and looks like good quality. Luckily, I have trims in the off white color so I can still use it for my intended purpose. It makes up well. I can’t give it a 5 because of the color, and not sure how much to down grade for this but it’s definitely a heavy weight denim and definitely not white.

Off-white, not true white

The color isn’t the optic white I wanted/expected. A more accurate color description for this fabric is off-white or winter white. Besides that, the denim is a nice weight and of high quality.
