Available in a variety of sophisticated, muted shades, it's the ideal canvas for all your sewing ideas. With a crisp hand, it’s a lovely all-purpose workhorse, suitable for all kinds of garments – dresses, pants, skirts, tops, jumpsuits, you name it! Fully opaque, no lining is needed for this fabric.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Fabric Tips

You can use a hot iron when pressing cotton. You can use sharp point universal needles to sew your projects. We recommend starting your project with a brand new needle.

Beautiful color!

I used the tumbled cotton for a big, light-weight, floppy tote bag. The fabric sewed up great and it turned out exactly as I had pictured. Would definitely buy this again for other projects!

Beautiful colour for summer trousers

The colour is just like in the picture and it's beautiful. I feel special in my Papao wrap pants by Readytosew.

Excellent all-rounder

A really nice medium weight with a nice drape, easy to work with, colour is accurate. I love it and would purchase again. I made two Wicksten Smock dresses with it.

Five stars!

I love this fabric. It is the perfect mid-weight cotton - comfortable to wear, easy to sew with, and versatile. I used it to make the Paper Theory Olya shirt and it turned out as the perfect transitional piece going into fall!
