If you’re someone who believes everything’s better with strawberries on top, this one’s for you! Meet the latest treat from our Market collection, our exclusive, in-house designed range of fruit and veggie prints. This charming strawberry fabric is made from a dreamy blend of organic cotton and European flax, and coloured using Azo-free dyes. Lightweight with a soft, slightly textured hand and an easy drape, it’s a joy to sew and even better to wear. *And good news: compared to last year’s Market batch, this fabric features a tighter, stronger weave without losing any of that breezy feel. *It’s perfect for tops, dresses, blouses, pajamas, and more. Nearly opaque, it won’t need a lining for most projects. Fresh, fun, and just the right amount of sweet, what will you make?
Our supplier is a sustainable textile manufacturer founded in 2013 that works with a community of weavers from South India. This supplier operates a 100% solar-powered modern handloom weaving facility and provides complete transparency in their supply chain. This particular fabric is made of organic cotton and European flax. It was coloured with Azo-free dyes.

Wash
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Long-Term Care
Cotton Linen blends can withstand high heat when washing and drying. Choose warm or hot water when machine washing (choose a cooler temperature for colours). Tumble dry on hot, and remove when slightly damp to help eliminate wrinkles.
Fabric Tips
Press your fabric before cutting out your pattern pieces. Use a hot iron when pressing.

There's no getting around it - the print is absolutely adorable. The substrate, however, leaves to be desired in my opinion. It's super stiff! I'm sincerely hoping it relaxes with washing, because I'm dying for a Jenna shirt in this fabric but I'm afraid it'll feel like wearing cardboard...
Go Fig—ure Print Organic Cotton Linen - Cream + Periwinkle + Light Green + Eggplant
I love the fig linen but so far I can't decide what to make with it! I started with the beet print and totally copied Nissan's shirt (minus the button loops because they traumatized me on Emmaline.) I got SEVEN "I like your shirt" comments on the beet fabric shirt at an art festival today! The fig pattern is so large I'm having a hard time pairing it with a pattern. I know there's one out there though.
I love anything with a strawberry motif and this fabric caught my eye. The color combination is different. I made loose fitting, sleeveless shift dress with a wide ruffle hem. It is so comfortable, and the fabric was a dream to sew. Core Fabrics is the best!
