Denim may be ubiquitous, but with its unique gray-green hue and environmentally conscious production, this stretch denim is anything but. Crafted from regenerative cotton, it's the product of a cotton cultivation method designed to reduce the environmental impact of industrial farming by promoting long-term soil health, carbon sequestration, and minimizing water and fertilizer use. But wait, there's more to love about this denim! Weighing in at 12.75oz, it's perfect for structured bottom-weight applications, while its gentle texture and hint of elastane for stretch make it incredibly comfortable to wear. With a crisp and structured feel, it's ideal for stretch jeans, as well as a wide range of traditional denim garments like skirts, jackets, and chic boiler suits. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Long-Term Care

Cotton/synthetic blends may shrink excessively when exposed to high heat. Machine wash in cool water and tumble dry on low.

Fabric Tips

Use a medium iron with a pressing cloth. We recommend starting your project with a brand new ballpoint or stretch needle.
