Truly the loveliest ponte de roma we've ever laid our hands on, this gorgeous double knit is a beautiful combination of comfort and luxury. It features a soft, smooth hand (as close to silky as a knit can get!) and an almost beefy mid-weight with exceptional stretch and recovery. Woven with a mix of Ecovero viscose and nylon for strength, it is a fabric stash must, ideal for a wide range of applications. Think: stretch pants, bodycon dresses, knit blazers, jumpsuits, and structured cardigans. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

Viscose Ponte Knit

This fabric is awesome, so much so that I have purchased it in a few different colors. The quality is fantastic, sews up and washes beautifully. My makes have been the CC Onyx Ponte Pants, and are the most flattering and comfortable pants that I have ever had. Highly recommend this fabric,

Amazing ponte

I used this to make a bodycon dress and it turned out amazing. The fabric has a good body to it and it is so very soft.

Beautiful Fabric

I have made two pairs of Onyx pants in this fabric in black and navy. This ponte is great weight for pants and has excellent recovery. The pants are comfortable and flattering.

Luscious ponte knit

Believe it or not, I had purchased this fabric to make a Buddhist nun a garment (a wrap around cloth for certain teachings). She said it was too dark of a burgundy. So I made myself a sexy pair of flared leggings with pockets and I love them. I sewed them entirely on my Bernini Combo overlock, serger.
