Get ready to swoon over this stunning plaid, designed by our very own Heather Lou! This captivating Rainbow Check features a bold, oversized check where jewel-toned blues and greens dance with vibrant pinks and reds, all brightened by cheerful hints of yellow. The large-scale yarn-dyed check creates magical colour intersections where hues blend and overlap, adding incredible depth and visual drama to this exclusive design.

Built on our beloved Midweight European Linen substrate and produced in Europe using European flax fibers in an Oeko-Tex 100 certified mill, you'll get that perfect drape, luxurious hand, and distinctive weave we all adore. Pre-softened and washed for incredible softness straight off the roll (+ it only gets better with age!), it holds a crisp edge when pressed while maintaining that signature springy drape that makes linen so irresistible.

Picture this absolute eye-candy in a flowing dress where the checks shimmer and shift with every movement, or a relaxed button-down that effortlessly steals the show. Naturally resilient, breathable, and thermoregulating, it's fully opaque and delightfully easy to sew with - basically, it's the fabric equivalent of a best friend who makes everything better.

Perfect for tops, dresses, jumpsuits, shirts, casual jackets, relaxed trousers, and more.

Eco-Certified

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified, Made in Europe

Linen is one of the most sustainable textiles available; it grows quickly, doesn’t exhaust the soil, doesn’t require pesticides or chemicals to farm, and is naturally biodegradable. This linen fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified, ensuring it is free of harmful substances. Our supplier has been producing the highest quality linen for more than 60 years in Eastern Europe, a region well-known for its tradition of heritage linen production. They use a flax plant grown in Europe. Their factory runs exclusively on renewable energy, all their manufacturing facilities are located close together to reduce CO2 transportation emissions, and they are active participants in the Fashion Revolution movement, which fosters more transparency about working conditions in the textile industry.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Linen can withstand high heat when washing and drying. Choose warm or hot water when machine washing (choose a cooler temperature for colours). Tumble dry on hot, and remove when slightly damp to help eliminate wrinkles.

Fabric Tips

Press your fabric before cutting out your pattern pieces. Use a hot iron when pressing.
