Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Linen can withstand high heat when washing and drying. Choose warm or hot water when machine washing (choose a cooler temperature for colours). Tumble dry on hot, and remove when slightly damp to help eliminate wrinkles.

Fabric Tips

Press your fabric before cutting out your pattern pieces. Use a hot iron when pressing.

Irish Linen Blue

This Irish linen is the softest linen I’ve ever felt. I didn’t know that linen could be so soft. And the blue color is so pretty. I’ll soon be making a shirt with it and look forward to wearing it.
