Simple doesn't necessarily mean boring, as this lovely viscose illustrates. Covered tip to toe in inch-wide stripes of bold colour, it's a great way to add vibrancy to any project that just needs that little extra oomph - or an easy way to make a garment that really steals the spotlight! You can cut your pattern pieces with the grain to take advantage of its vertical stripes, or do some creative pattern matches and rotate them 90 degrees... or go wild and make something cut on the bias for even more stripe versatility! With a beautiful drape and gently textured hand, this viscose is equally at home as a semi-structured shirt or gathered skirt, a sundress or pair of extra-cool pants. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.
