Dramatic, stretchy, and great for body-hugging dresses, skirts, and more, this rib knit has an awful lot going for it. Made in USA of EcoVero viscose, it's produced from sustainably grown trees. Add a touch of spandex for great stretch recovery, and ta-da! You have a beautiful, versatile rib knit that has enough heft to avoid the show-through of lightweight, clingier knits. With a medium drape and soft, textured hand, this midweight knit is best for the aforementioned applications, plus t-shirts, bodysuits, and the like. Nearly fully opaque, it does not require a lining. (Lighter colours may become more transparent when stretched.)

Wash
Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Long-Term Care
Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.
Fabric Tips
Use a medium iron with a pressing cloth. We recommend starting your project with a brand new ballpoint or stretch needle.

This fabric has colour and texture in spades! I love the colour (Hot Chocolate). It's a fairly complex Heather browny grey that goes well with so many pieces in my wardrobe. The ribs have a very nice defined texture and provide a beautiful vertical dimension. It's not a fabric built to keep you warm and cozy on a winter's night, but it's visual appeal is adequate to make up for this.
This is just what I wanted for my project. The fabric is soft and I found it easy to work with having never really worked with this kind of fabric before.
I was hoping to make a sumptuous sweater-like turtleneck sweater, and from the videos and images I thought the fabric would be more like a sweater knit. It's a little more sticky than soft - probably because of the higher spandex content. I'm still going to make my turtlenecks as planned, but just be aware that this is not so much like a sweater knit (e.g. think merino jersey). If in doubt, I recommend purchasing a swatch. Also worth noting, I found the black color way to be softer in touch than the hot chocolate, and both fabrics seemed to soften after I washed them. Still though, it wasn't the super-soft knit I was hoping for, so if you're looking for that, better to go with a swatch first and decide.
Made the Graphite top ☺️. Plan to purchase another colour to make just a little tweak. 😉
