Deadstock

Designer Textiles from Vancouver

This deadstock fabric comes from Samsara, a Vancouver-based, women-owned cycling brand creating thoughtfully designed, technical apparel that helps women feel, look, and ride their best. They focus on recycled fibres and use sublimation printing—a more energy-efficient, water-saving method compared with traditional fabric printing.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry. Do not tumble dry or bleach.

Fabric Tips

Avoid ironing if possible. While you can use a little well-placed steam if you are finding your seams behaving badly, a finger press will go just as far in most cases. Use a low iron when pressing.
