Eco-Certified

Recycled + Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified

This recycled polyester fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified, ensuring the recycled yarns are free of harmful substances. It is also bluesign® approved, meaning our family-owned supplier has used the best technologies and most responsible resources available to minimize the impact on people and the environment. Using recycled plastics helps divert these materials from landfills and consequently minimizes the amount that ends up in our oceans, which is harmful to marine life. In addition, the manufacturing process for these fabrics requires less water and energy than that of virgin fibres, and allows for lower greenhouse gas emissions.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry. Do not tumble dry or bleach.

Fabric Tips

Avoid ironing if possible. While you can use a little well-placed steam if you are finding your seams behaving badly, a finger press will go just as far in most cases. Use a low iron when pressing.

I used this fabric for a gym set, and I was able to squeeze a set of leggings plus a sports bra out of 1m. The cloth is firm, supportive, and fully opaque, with generous four-way stretch, fantastic recovery, and rapid evaporation. The colour is less brick/ more mauve than I expected, but I'm digging it.
There are some things to consider before sewing with this. First: you'll want to use a stretch needle, which is not the same as a ballpoint needle. I wish I'd known that when I started my projects, because it would have saved a LOT of skipped stitches and swearing. Second: moisture is highly visible on this fabric. Touch it with a damp palm, and you'll see dark spots. Fortunately, it evaporates quickly as well.
Overall, I'd this is a great fabric for an experienced sewer who wants good quality athletic wear in a fun colour.

Nice weight performance fabric

Performance fabric has good compression and weight for minimal see-through. Beautiful color. It was tough to sew - I struggled to find a needle that worked well - but it serged easily.

Medium weigh with lovely firmness and stretch/recovery. Cut beautifully sewed easily. Can't report on wash and wear as it's not done yet but so far very happy with
