This Japanese cotton damask is camo, but make it elegant. Featuring a beautifully woven camouflage pattern that subtly shows with the light, this fabric plays with texture and sheen in all the right ways. Lightweight and soft with a slightly textured hand thanks to the jacquard weave, it has a luminous sheen on one side and a matte, gently brushed finish on the other that feels luxurious against the skin. With its medium drape, it’s a versatile choice for elevated shirts, statement dresses, or even lightweight trousers. Fully opaque, it requires no lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road. Machine wash in warm water and tumble dry on medium or hot. More delicate cottons like voile, double gauze or embroidered cottons should be washed by hand or on the delicate cycle.

Fabric Tips

Use a hot iron when pressing.
